About the Plan
Located in the northeastern portion of the county, the Upper Rock Creek Trail Corridor extends northward from Rock Creek Regional Park to Rachel Carson Conservation Park and continues to the Patuxent River. The purpose of the Trail Corridor Plan is to:
- Identify opportunities to create a continuous natural surface trail system from Rock Creek Regional Park to the Patuxent River.
- Identify opportunities to extend the hard surface Rock Creek hiker-biker trail from Rock Creek Regional Park to Olney.
- Explore ways to make the Corridor part of a mid-county greenway that would extend from the Potomac River to the Patuxent River.
You can help shape the future of this trail corridor. The planning process will include many opportunities for you to attend meetings or forward your comments to staff by email or by phone.
