Spring display 2008
Saturday, January 19 through Sunday, April 13
Spring Display in South ConservatoryThe vivid colors and fragrances of spring come to the conservatories in mid January. Orchids, camellias, jasmine and a variety of bulbs and flowering plants will create a pleasing contrast to the landscape outdoors. Monthly changes of plant materials will keep the display full of color and fragrance through the month of April.
NOTE: There will not be a sculpture show in 2008.

Spring Display in South ConservatoryThe Brookside Gardens Sculpture show was held in the North & South Conservatories, at 1500 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland 20902, each year. The unique Conservatory setting enhances these imaginative and creative interpretations, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.
The sculptors range from the budding amateur, to the "found" materials artist, to the academic and polished, even engineered, skills of the professional. This community is rich in talents and is undergoing a boom in quantity, quality, and diversity of expression. Sculpture has been a stimulating part of gardens since the dawn of civilization. Brookside Gardens is happy to carry-on and encourage that tradition.
Special thanks to Leonard Friedman and Harvey Kupferberg for photographing the 2007 Spring Display and Sculpture Show.
