McCrillis Gardens

McCrillis Gardens was donated to The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in 1978 by its owners, William and Virginia McCrillis. Managed by Brookside Gardens, the Gardens have been refined as a premier shade garden. Choice ornamental trees and shrubs extend the flowering season while bulbs, groundcovers and shade-loving perennials add ongoing color and texture. A pavilion and benches provide restful vantage points.

Admission: Free
Hours: Gardens open daily from 10:00a.m. to sunset.
Directions: Driving directions from MapQuest.
Parking: Limited on-street parking available. After 4:00 pm weekdays or on weekends, parking is available at the Woods Academy across the street. No parking is available on the grounds.

The Brookside Gardens School of Botanical Art & Illustration is located on the first floor of the McCrillis house.

The Montgomery Parks Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 1992 to foster private support for Montgomery County's parks, is located on the second floor of the McCrillis house. Office hours are 9:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. (Monday thru Friday). Telephone: 301-767-0002
