Northwest Branch Stream Valley Park Unit 3 10701 Columbia Pike Silver Spring Comprising more than 323 Acres, this section of Northwest Branch Stream Valley Park stretches from Rout 29 (Columbia Pike) southwest under the Capital Beltway to the Prince George's County line. Undeveloped for active recreation, the park helps protect the water quality in the Northwest Branch and provides wooded open space for the residents of eastern Montgomery County. The first 95-acre parcel of the park was acquired by M-NCPPC in 1966 with the most recent acquisition being a 4.8-acre parcel in 1993.
