The Park
Development Division (PDD) solicits bids for services and products related to planning, design, and
engineering for new and existing parks and park facilities
in Montgomery County, including, but not limited to:
- architectural consulting
- civil and structural engineering consulting
- building and site construction, renovation, and restoration
- topographic surveys
- play equipment and site amenities supply and installation
- lighting materials, design, and installation
- athletic field construction and rehabilitation
- historic building preservation and restoration
- utility work (sewer/water/storm drainage)
- fencing and railing installation and repairs
- construction document preparation, obtaining permits
- construction management
- HVAC modifications and installation, duct work
- roof construction and renovation
- road/path/trail/bridge construction and renovation
- environmental assessment studies
- property appraisals
PDD maintains a telephone "hotline" which provides up-to-date information on solicitations currently being advertised. The hotline can also be accessed for information on the Commission's Minority, Female, and Disabled Owned Businesses (MFD) policy; the Americans with Disabilities Act, and general information on addresses, office closings, etc.

Prospective bidders who purchase or pick up bid packages authorize the release of their names to the general public which includes other bidders, subcontractors, etc. Interested parties may contact the offices of Park Development Division (PDD) to retrieve lists by project of prospective bidders and their telephone numbers by calling 301-495-2535 or reviewing the list at the offices.
PDD advertises in The Washington Post, The Afro-American Newspapers (Baltimore & Washington), and The Montgomery Journal, on a continuous basis. RFP and IFB documents are available at 9500 Brunett Avenue, Room 107, Silver Spring, Maryland (some charges may apply). Copies are also provided to F.W. Dodge, Blue Reports, Construction Market Data, the Prince George's Contractors and Business Association, and the Maryland Highway Contractors Association.
