Gaithersburg Vicinity Master Plan
Gaithersburg Vicinity, centrally located within the I-270 Corridor as well as the County, straddles both sides of I-270 and includes communities that surround but are outside the City of Gaithersburg (see the map). On the east side of I-270, the Plan includes Montgomery Village, the Airpark area, Flower Hill, Mill Creek, and Oakmont. On the west side of I-270, the Plan includes the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center, Decoverly, and communities east of Seneca Creek State Park. The City of Gaithersburg is not part of the Planning Department's master plan update for Gaithersburg Vicinity; it is an incorporated city with its own planning and zoning authority and its own master plan.
