photo of parks director Under the direction of Mary Bradford, Director, the Montgomery County Department of Parks is responsible for the acquisition, development and management of more than 33,000 acres of parkland, providing residents and visitors with outstanding recreational opportunities, facilities and open space for natural resources stewardship.

Together with the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation, The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is the country's only five-time national gold medal award-winning park system.
