Cool down and have a blast at the South Germantown Recreational Park Splash Playground! Kids will have a great time playing under the massive waterfall, and trying to guess which tumbling bucket will tip over next. There's also a rain tree, water tunnel, and a 36' computer choreographed water maze with 280 ground-level jets, shooting 6,000 gallons of water per minute. It's the ultimate in hot-weather relief! Lockers and cubbies, showers, dressing room, restrooms and a vending area are located nearby. The Splash Playground is fully accessible for people with disabilities, and all ages are welcome.

Directions

Take exit 15B off Route 270 toward Germantown.
Stay on MD Route 118 for 3 miles, passing Clopper Road (Route 117).
Turn right at Richter Farm Road and follow until the traffic light at Schaeffer Road.
Turn left on Schaeffer Road and follow the signs.

2008 Admission Fees

All patrons entering the Splash Playground must pay admission.
Fee Reduction Coupons may be used for admission to both the Splash Playground and Miniature Golf.

Splash Playground: $4.50 per person, ages 2 & up
Miniature Golf: $4.50 per person, per round
Splash & Golf Combo: $7 per person; includes one round of golf and a full day's admission to Splash Playground. Available to groups of up to 30 people. Splash & Golf Combo tickets are not available for groups of 31 or more people; please see the "Group Rates" below.
Discount Ticket Books: $40.50 for 10 admissions (good for 10 daily admission passes to the Splash Playground, 10 rounds of Miniature Golf, or any combination of 10 you choose). It's 10 for the price of 9!

Group Rates

If you'd like to bring a group of 31 or more people, please make advance reservations at least one week in advance for the Splash Playground or the Miniature Golf Courses. To make a reservation, please call 301-601-4410 between 7 AM and 3 PM, Monday - Friday. A $50 deposit is required when your group reservation is made.

Party at the Splash Playground!

Want a cool, fun place to host your party or group activity? Party at the Splash Playground! Options include:

  • Rent the party tent at the Splash Playground for $30 an hour (available April 5 - September 28, $30/hour; does not include admission to the Splash Playground)
  • Make your own Splash Party (admissions for your group, plus the party tent; rates vary according to group size)
  • Or create a custom-built party combining both the Splash Playground and Miniature Golf!
  • To make a reservation, please call 301-601-4410 between 7 AM and 3 PM, Monday-Friday and ask to speak with the Park Manager.
