This 290-acre recreational park located west of Ridge
Road (Route 27) in Clarksburg, Maryland has three picnic
shelters, a small playground, and a gravel parking lot
that were constructed in the early 1980's to meet the
terms of the Wells family bequest. In addition, there
are several ballfields, and the picnic area features
an open shelter, which is available for rent.

Ovid Hazen Picnic Shelter "A"
12001 Skylark Road Clarksburg, Maryland. Directions from I 270 - Exit Father Hurley Blvd. North to Rt. 27 North. Rt 27 Approx. 2 miles to left onto Skylark Road. Park Entrance 1 mile ahead on right. From Damascus - Rt. 27 south to Skylark Road. Right on Skylark, park entrance 1 mile ahead on right. Capacity 75-100 people maximum, handicap accessible. 1 large grill, portable toilet, and play equipment. Ballfields may be booked separately and do not automatically go with your reservation. Port johns available April - October. Catering permitted. 29 regular and 4 handicap parking spaces close to shelter with 62 additional spaces adjacent to shelter parking lot.
