This park is home to the Maryland SoccerPlex, the creation
of which involved state, County and Commission resources,
as well as private funds, particularly from the Maryland
Soccer Foundation. The SoccerPlex's 24 grass fields are
maintained at high levels, and are periodically rested,
reseeded,a and pattern mowed to ensure that each pitch
is of professional superiority. The Discovery Stadium
seats 3,200 spectators and has already welcomed a variety
