Regional / Recreational Park Picnic Shelters information
- The maximum capacities of the shelters are enforced. Therefore, you must reserve enough shelter space to accommodate your group size.
- Both the fee and deposit payments are required to make a reservation. No tentative reservations will be accepted. Reservations are accepted as of January 1 for the current season (April through October). [Reservations for November through March require approval from the Park Manager.]
- Catering is allowed ONLY at the large shelters at Black Hill Regional Park and at Damascus Regional Park. No other regional park shelters permit catering.
- Moonbounces require prior approval from the Park Manager and liability insurance. Contact the permit office for details.
- Pony rides and dunking booths are not permitted.
- Bus permits are required for buses and 18 passenger vans, and are permitted Monday through Friday only.
- Two-thirds of all participants must be residents of Montgomery or Prince George's County, MD.

For information about Fees Schedule please, click here. Once a reservation has been made, the fee is non-refundable. It is rain or shine use, a fee is required for all reservation changes.
Alcohol policy
No alcohol of any kind is permitted at any regional/recreational park picnic shelter.
How to make a reservation

NOTE: By submitting this application along with your credit card information, you have agreed to pay all applicable fees, deposit(s), and charges due. If you are not submitting payment, please call the Park Permit Office for availability information.
