Description:
A developer has proposed a mixed-use project on the eastern edge of the Silver Spring CBD.  The portion of the 44,624 square foot property along Fenton Street is zoned CBD-1/Fenton Overlay Zone.  The remainder of the property is zoned CBD-0.5.  The proposed project includes 94 dwelling units (including 12 MPDUs) and 3500 square feet of retail space along Fenton Street.  The tallest portion of the building will be 60’ in height, the maximum permitted by the zone; however, the building height will be reduced to approximately 40’ closest to the adjoining R-60 residential neighborhood. Approximately 100 parking spaces are proposed on site.
