Description:
This
replacement of the outdated Fire Station wiil be on
the same site. It will continue to face MD 410 where
it intersects with Carroll Avenue in Takoma Junction.
A temporary fire station is proposed on an adjacent
site. Both permanent and temporary stations are part
of this review.

The Planning Board Public Hearing was held on Thursday,
September 29, 2005. In addition, the City of Takoma
Park provided opportunities for public participation

Planning Board Action:
A filing was received in June 2005. The Planning Board
reviewed and approved the Mandatory Referral application
on Thursday, September 29, 2005.

The Fire Station is in the Takoma Park Historic District.
Therefore, the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC)
of Montgomery County has reviewed the project and approved
an Historic Area Work Permit. HPC staff Anne Fothergill
