Description:
The
Wayne Avenue Bridge is the bridge over Sligo Creek.
This project replaced some of the bridge's structural
elements and provided better pedestrian and bike access
over the bridge for connections to the Sligo Creek
Trail and Silver Spring Green Trail.

From M-NCPPC Staff Contact: The design of the bridge
endwalls and selection of finish are the result of a
collaboration between DPW&T staff and M-NCPPC staff
to ensure a visually pleasing bridge that fits the park
setting of Sligo Creek and the future Silver Spring
Green Trail connection.
